Two in Fifty Two Logo

Week 31.

A Donut by Timothy on 9 August

I’ve become a bit obsessed with the videos over at BuzzFeed. I think it is super important to find humour in our day; who wants to work with a robot? Here are a couple of videos to brighten your day.

We all know there are no “rules” when it comes to this craft – sometimes things that shouldn’t work together, do! With that said, this video I came across is quite hilarious. We’re all guilty of making these faux-pas at some point during the beginning of the learning process. For that reason, I think it’s important to remain well humoured when seeing others making mistakes instead of straight up condemning; we all start out somewhere! I’m sure that 10 years down the track we will look back on the designs of today and scoff at their “primitivity”.

Recently, a poster came out for the latest Hunger Games movie. The “controversy” surrounding this was the unfortunate arrangement of the letters spelling out something rather vulgar…

Honest mistake, I’m sure… but certainly not the first oversight to be made on a logo. Just take a look at these other misfortunate looking logos.

The final rib-tickler (now, there is an expression that does not get used enough) is not a video, but a proverb I’m sure we can all relate to.

By naming a file “Final” you automatically doom it to 5 more revisions

The struggle. She is real.

If none of the above cracked a smile, perhaps this hipster otter eating a donut will. Have a good week!
